This year Rabbi Sacks will investigate “Spirituality”, a topic that we all should seek to increase. It is often challenging to find spirituality in the predictable, soothing, but yet at times almost “too familiar” prayers. We tend to pray by rote. Let’s hope Rabbi Sacks inspires us to keep discovering how Torah can deepen our spirituality.
Rabbi Sacks has written an introductory essay about Jewish Spirituality. You can find it here: http://www.rabbisacks.org/introduction-to-5776-covenant-and-conversation-on-spirituality/ It is a very powerful essay; perhaps we can all find ways to make our services more spiritual this year.
I hope you find the Rabbi’s weekly comments deeply interesting.
